Fire Resistant Systems (Non-loadbearing) |
| Fire Resistant S Wall |
[Recommended Applications]
- Suitable for areas required to be constructed from only one side, such as lift shafts, stairwells, duct space, pipe space
- Used for constructing additional fire separation walls due to extension of buildings
[Features]
- Simple structure
Two layers of 21mm Tiger Board Type·Z fire resistant plasterboards are applied to one side of steel framing (Standard Type) . - Can be constructed from only one side:
No requirements for scaffold or work space on the other side of walls. Suitable for use as shaft walls - Flexible wall height adjustment
Wall height can be adjusted flexibly just by changing cross-section design of metal studs.
[Performance]
Fire Resistance: 1 hour rating (Nonload-bearing: wall systems which do not bear loads from buildings)
[Construction Details]
<Standard System>
Tape over joints of top layer of reinforced plasterboards with glass fibre joint tape, and then apply both base coating and finish coating type of joint compounds over the tape to provide smooth surfaces.
<System with joints sealed with sealants>
This construction system has V grooved joints between top-layer of reinforced plasterboards filled with urethane or deformed silicon sealant.
<System with additional layers of plasterboards>
This construction system requires no joint treatment for top-layer of plasterboards and also provides crack resistance.
Undertake construction by using method either a) or b) as follows.
A) Apply an additional layer of 9.5 mm Tiger Board plasterboard with staples and adhesives to provide joints with exposed spline (less than 6mm)
B) Apply 12.5mm decorated Tiger Anero panel with two-sided tapes and adhesives to provide joints with exposed spline (less than 6mm)
| Fire Resistant Glass Rock B-18 |
[Recommended Applications]
- Factories, warehouses, shops or office buildings
(Tiger Glass Rock can be used as finishing materials or decorated with paint or wallpaper.)

<Construction Example of Fire Resistant Glass Rock B-18>
[Features]
- Easily installed
Thin and lightweight 6 mm Tiger Glass Rock and 12.5 mm Tiger Board are used to ensure lower labour. - Aesthetic finish without decoration
Tiger Glass Rock can be used without decoration with paint or wallpaper. - Lower cost
No requirement for joint treatment or paint finishes saves total cost.
